 Learning Styles

We each learn in different ways. Have you ever wondered why some things are easier for you than other? Sometimes you may think you are not as smart as someone else when you simply learn in a different way. Below is an intentory test to help you find out how you learn best.

Paragon Learning Style Inventory

The Paragon Learning Style Inventory is a 52-item learning style inventory that can be self-scored and obtains a measure of the 4 Jungian psychological/learning dimensions. It is written for ages 8 and older. It is hoped that just knowing your type is helpful in understanding yourself. And it may help you see how you are different from others. You may find that some people are harder to understand than others you meet. This usually has something to do with your learning style (also called type in the MBTI). Look at the pages on this site that might help you understand how your learning type most prefers to learn and interact with others

Print off the questions below and have someone read them to you. Open the 2nd link and put your answer choice in there

Multiple Intelligence Test

The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, who says there are eight different intelligences.  These intelligences are:

  • Linguistic intelligence ("word smart"):

  • Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")

  • Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")

  • Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")

  • Musical intelligence ("music smart")

  • Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")

  • Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")

  • Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")

Take the test and see what category you are in.
