Rocking the Research

 

 

We will practice taking notes on frogs or turtles

 

 

 

Research paper on Animals 

 

4th grade 1 animal, 5th grade 2 animals

 

Step 1- Use Google or Kid Rex to locate 3-5 websites you will use.

 

Step 2- Copy and paste the notes under the following categories:

Be sure to copy and paste the URL's after each section of notes you copy 

 

 

  1. Animal appearance- (Type of animal, Kingdom, family order species ect.) Type of body covering, color, attributes
  2. Animal diet-What do they eat
  3. Animal Habitat-Where do they live? Location on the globe, biome or type of environment
  4. Reproduction-How do they have young, mating, what are their young like?

Step 4- Write a paragraph for each section of your notes.
 
  • Title at the top with your name below 
  • Add a picture of your animal at the top.  
  •  Paragraph one-3-5 sentences on the animals appearance
  • Paragraph two-3-5 sentences on what the animal eats
  • Paragraph three 3-5 sentences on where the animal lives
  • Paragraph four 3-5 sentences on how they have and take care of their young
 
 
Step 5- Bibliography
 
4th grade- Copy and paste the url's you used on a separate Work Cited page
 
5th grade- Use EasyBib- Copy and paste the URL's- create the MLA format- You may have to go back to the page to look up the publishing group and copyright.
 
 
 
You must turn in:
 
 
1. Your notes page- research turned into the notes format
2. Your rough draft
3. Paper
